How Does Our Design Process Work?

It starts with you. When you request a free consultation, you provide our lighting designers with photos of the areas of your home and property that you want to illuminate. Starting with those photos, we then enhance our understanding of your property with drone footage to get a more detailed, complete picture from all angles of your house, landscaping, trees, outdoor living spaces, walkways, pools, water features, or anywhere else you want to add lighting.

Putting these images together, we are then able to draft accurate, full-scale drawings of your home and property, outlining exactly how our proposed lighting design will enhance the features you love, increase security and safety, and allow you to enjoy your outdoor spaces with friends and family even after the sun goes down.

3D Rendering Process

This planning and design phase is where Dayloom’s complimentary 3D rendering of your home comes in. Using specialized software, our designers can create images that give you a realistic, day and night comparison of the transformation of your home. These images enable you to visualize how different lighting effects, color temperatures, and placement of fixtures can change the look and feel of your property without having to make any physical changes until you’ve made a final decision.

Having the ability to customize even the smallest details of your design – such as the angle and direction of the light fixture and the intensity and color temperature of the light – means that the end product will meet your needs efficiently while also perfectly matching your personal taste and style. 

Complimentary Consultation

After you’ve had a chance to look over the design, we schedule a free, no-obligation consultation with you. At this initial meeting, we go over the designs with you in detail, including electrical requirements, any changes you’d like to see, and pricing options. Of course, even at this point, you have zero obligation to make any purchase. 

If, however, you do decide to move forward with our design, we schedule an installation at your convenience. However, we do not start work until you’re completely satisfied with your design and approve our plan and our quoted price. We make sure you’re involved and comfortable every step of the way.
